So it’s been said that one should never judge a book by its cover. It was not said, however, that one should never judge a record by its cover. Which is exactly what I did with the latest release from Flobots. I saw the cover and knew, good or bad, that I had to have it. Fight With Tools is a fantastic musical medley of rock, pop and hip-hop intricately woven amidst a plethora of classical instrumentation and electronics. And with a great set of album art, this is definitely a must-have for any hip-hop collection.

I, along with another guy I work with, were given the daunting task of creating an oversized birthday card for her. Since Vanity Fair is her favorite magazine, we thought it only approprate that she be on the cover of one so Vanity Fair it was.
